Is BrightPoints free?

Yes. The free plan covers one family with one child profile, the routine builder, points and rewards — no credit card. BrightPoints Plus is an optional subscription for parents at €4.99 a month or €39.99 a year: more families, more child profiles, unlimited co-parents, advanced insights and data export. One paying parent covers the whole family — an invited co-parent gets every Plus feature without paying again. Children never see a purchase of any kind, and everything they have earned always stays theirs.

Do my kids need email addresses?

No. You create a simple username and PIN for each child. BrightPoints never asks children for an email address and stores no contact details for them.

What ages is it for?

Typically ages 4 to 12. Younger children get a big, friendly view; older children get a calmer one. You pick a support mode when you add the child — Guided for adult-led routines, Collaborative when they're ready to help choose goals — and you can change it later.

No. A child can mark something as done and send it for approval, but every point awarded and every reward redeemed needs a parent's yes.

Yes. BrightPoints runs in any modern browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app — no app store download needed.

Can two parents in different homes share one family?

Yes. Co-parenting is built in: invite the other parent and you both see the same family, the same children, and the same history. You can also run separate families if you'd rather.

What information do you store?

For parents: your email address and password. For children: a first name, an avatar emoji, an age band, the username you chose, and the record of points they've earned and spent. No child email addresses, no photos, no location.
